Tangalle area was our first beach paradise in our 3 weeks trip of Sri Lanka and it offers so with beautiful, mostly secluded beaches. The main Tangalle beach is quite crowded with touristic restaurants and inflated prices. The area offers many remote and hidden beaches so go out there and explore the area and find your piece of paradise! We found this spot and it was fantastic. TURTLE WATCHING: YES or NO? The area is also famous for watching turtles coming out at night to lay out their eggs. Supposedly the best time to go see is from 8 pm onwards and the highest chance to see that is on Rekawa beach.
