Koh Samui is a posh island full of premium hotels, great restaurants and upscale stores. It is also one of the few Thai islands with its own airport making it one of the most touristic ones. In a rather small space there are more than 1,600 hotels, so competition is fierce. We didn’t come to the island for the hotels though but rather the beaches and palm trees of Koh Samui. We’ve been writing so much about beautiful beaches lately like Krabi and Koh Phangan that it is now time to pay tribute to the other ingredient that make up every dreamy tropical place – palm trees.
